HYDRAULIC OPERATING TECHNOLOGY

FOR JYD TYPE COMPRESSION SLEEVE

I. Preparation before compression:

1. To select suitable hydraulic compressor and steel die、aluminum die.

2. To prepare gasoline and cotton yarn for cleaning antiseptic on conductor.

 

II. Stripping & Cleaning the conductor:

1. To strip the aluminum strands. Then clean the surface of steel strands with gasoline.

Note: Please be careful not to injure the inner steel strands. And the aluminum strands and steel core can not get loose.

 

2. To clean the both inner surfaces of aluminum sleeve & steel sleeve of compression sleeve with gasoline.

3. To clean the greasy dirt on the outside surface of strands which will be compressed with cotton yarn dipping up little gasoline. The cleaned length can not be less than 1.5 times of compressed length.

4. To clean the inside walls of aluminum sleeve and steel sleeve with gasoline.

5. To clean the oxide film on the surface of aluminum strands which is the part getting into the aluminum sleeve.

 

III. Smearing electrical grease:

1. To smear electrical grease on the aluminum strands which is the part getting into the aluminum sleeve.

2. According to Clause II, to clean the outer aluminum strands with gasoline. After drying, to uniformly smear a thin layer of electric grease. Then to cover it with the outer aluminum strands.

3. To brush the part smeared with electric grease along the axis direction of aluminum strands with wire brush. The surface of the hydraulic-compressed aluminum strands which contact with aluminum sleeve should be brushed completely.

 

IV. Putting into sleeves:

1. To put into aluminum sleeve: Put the end of stripped strands into aluminum sleeve.

2. To put into steel sleeve: Make the ends of two steel strands loose and flat. Then put both of them into steel sleeve overlapped until about 3~5mm of the steel cores are exposed outside the steel sleeve (Please see the attached fig.).

 

V. Compressing:

1. The attached fig shows the sequence for compressing steel sleeve.

Note: Every pressing must overlap 1/3 of last one.

2. The attached fig also shows the compression length, direction and position  of

aluminum sleeve.
